The Food Waste Composting creative inquiry is off and running for the second semester. Our group this semester is comprised of seven people. Gary Nihart (AG Econ) and Ryan Poole (CE), both graduate students working with Clemson Facilities, provide ideas and direction. Benjamin Case (ENR) and Samantha Perea (AVS) will investigate composting processes. Melanie Payne (CE) will keep the great work of our first team going on the marketing front. Kevin Colson will continue the work he began last semester to create an economic model of our composting waste program to determine aspects of cost/benefit. Pat Zungoli, professor of entomology, is learning along with all of the students and benefiting from their hard work.
